What To Look Out For in aere’s HOPE Collection at KLFW 2016?

Winner of KLFW 2015 Best Womenswear, Raja Nadia Sabrina is certainly one of the designers to look out for at this year’s fashion show.

The new collection, HOPE reflects a stronger personality - assertive, confident and of an especially pleasing standard. If Founder and Creative Director, Raja Nadia Sabrina has for the most part been associated with ladylike aesthetics and fluid silhouettes, many will likely consider this to be boundary-defying or rather, forward-thinking? 🤔 #foodforthought

As the name suggests, this collection is very much inspired by optimism and therefore, on top of aere’s signature colours - blue and white, a tinge of golden yellow will be introduced. A subtle yet defining element of the collection, this particular shade of yellow is reminiscent of the rays of sunshine illuminating on golden autumn leaves, signifying new beginnings, seeing and living life from a new perspective.

Expect a multiple use of luxurious fabrics, new and old, reinterpreted in a bold fashion. We will let you in on a little secret…jacquard and organza will be making an appearance and they are nothing less than gorgeous. And a new sewing technique, smocking has been tried and tested so be sure to keep an eye out for that stunning translucent white beauty on the runway too.

Overall, it is nothing like the last few collections we are accustomed to but, most definitely a big step forward to cutting-edge, contemporary fashion; a brand that is on the right track to greatness, we’d like to believe. Nonetheless, Raja Nadia Sabrina stays true to her design ethos that is to create clothes - versatile, multi-functional and flattering on everyone!

Every look has taken our breath away and this is not an exaggeration in any shape or form. There’s only one way to find out! 17 August 2016 at 3pm, be there or be square.
